Memories

With the night’s breeze so cold,

I hid myself in the blanket and dosed.

A series of memories that I hold,

All came flashing when my eyes were closed.

The good the bad the bitter the sweet

All so blurred, they were not any newer

For all they were now just a bigger treat

As life wouldn’t rewind, now or forever!!

The light from the moon shone so thin

A sudden chill woke me up to the certitude

Piercing the rough obscure through the skin

My eyes open and felt to be under the hood.

Better were the times that made those memories

As today the times have changed and are immutable

For every minute of every hour just brought new worries

And nothing in the world seems to remain whimsical…
