“Everything happens for a reason”. Heard of this phrase? Well, when I was in my 8th grade, my Mentor, my role model who was my class teacher had told me this and the importance of having this belief in life. Since then I’ve always believed in it and will always do. Just like for everyone,it makes me feel happy when I become successful in a task but when I fail to get something I wanted even after my endeavor towards it, then this phrase comes to my mind and makes me hope that something better awaits in my life. Trust me I have mostly been benefited by this. I say this coz as a kid I always dreamt of becoming something specific and always thought ‘I’ll go to this institution, take up that course and then fulfill my dream’. But life had other plans. It took me in a different route. I felt sad about it but never stopped believing in what I always knew, “Everything happens for a reason”. Yes, it all happened for a reason and that reason was my Dream. I finally got what I wanted but through a different road that life took me in. Yeah it was quite bumpy, but I have some beautiful memories to cherish and some bigger and better experiences to take along with me. So why should I stop believing it? I always remember my teacher and I’m thankful for having told me something so good at the right time.
But it’s not just having this thought that “OK, this happened to me. May be it is for some reason” without striving for it. Give it all you got and put in your blood and sweat to achieve it. Even after all this if you fail then don’t lose heart. Think of this phrase and it will keep you going in life. Life isn’t something that will give you anything you want or wish to have. If it was to give you all that then life would have been a bed of roses without thorns. Life would be a jolly ride in an amusement park but without any twists and turns or it would be like earth being a smooth plain plateau with no adventurous mountains and forests. Life would have been so boring and predictable. Here’s something from the movies which is very motivational about life:
“It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”
― Sylvester Stallone, Rocky Balboa
I know that most of you think that the phrase “Everything happens for a reason” is for losers, it’s stupid or an excuse coz the phrase doesn’t come with the reason which it says to exist.Yeah in a way you’re right. But it doesn’t say that it carries the reason along with it. Sometime later you will definitely get your answer. Also how does it help you when you wanna see the darker side of anything? “The grass is greener on the other side”. So why not look at the good things it has to offer you with? Regretting for something that’s gone and wasting your time grieving about it will take you nowhere. It’ll just make you feel more depressed, hurt and weak. So when believing in it can provide you benefits like, make you an optimist, strong, determined individual and motivates you to overcome the obstacles and hurdles that you face in life, then what is the harm in just carrying it with you?
“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
― Marilyn Monroe
That so beautifully and meaningfully explains why “Everything happens for a reason”. Life has so many lessons to teach and with each lesson comes an experience. Go live it, experience it and be ready for the surprises waiting for you.Never lose hope in anything. Keep the fighter alive in you and don’t stop fighting till you get that satisfaction. Coz in life you don’t learn until you lose and when you lose you grow stronger and smarter. And who knows, you might even become a guide to somebody or an inspiration for the mass. So “Never give up” and “Never stop believing”…
So you started thinking whether or not-ta believe in “Everything happens for a reason”?….
